As you can see I am located in the Chicago area.  I work in the software development industry, but this is not my work blog.  The name of the blog should share some of my whimsical side: a friend and I used to give ourselves nicknames.   As my name is not too unique, I thought this site name would bring some unique qualities.  I am not originally from Chicago. I am a transplant from Central Illinois area.

Why a blog?  I cannot think of a why not reason.  I have a large immediate family and though I can not call all of them -- which would take up a lot of my free time -- I am allowing them to find out what is going on.  Same reason allies to my friends.  Plus it is easy to write a blog entry versus to have a short email.  Some of this stuff are my thoughts at the time.  Consider site as my space on the Internet to allow others to keep up.  I started a blog many years ago professionally called DANGsite Daily Thoughts.   The blog was being cluttered more with personal content than professional.  I decided to make a home for this personal content and segregate the two sites.
